Department of Fisheries Fishing and Processing Technology

The destruction of agricultural lands and the regression of livestock production caused efforts being directed towards aquaculture production and fish capture and processing activities in the hope of finding solutions to the hunger and malnourishment. This subject was carried to the scientific platform via Faculty of Fisheries established under the academic structuring of several Universities in our Country aiming at graduating competent technical personel. There is no separate graduate teaching program in the department but under the academic structuring of Faculty of fisheries, activities regarding to scientific research, consulting services and upbringing of academic personel are being conducted. In the subjects of the department, theoretical and practical information regarding to fish capturing techniques, determination of fish stocks, fish processing techniques and equipments used in fish capture and their technical specifications are given to the students.
