Prof. Dr. Ahmet Çamsarı was born on April 23, 1972 in Kahramanmaraş. He completed his primary and secondary education there. He graduated from Gaziantep Science High School in 1990.
In the same year, he entered Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. Completing his education there in 1996, he specialized in Cardiology at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital.
After completing his specialty education at the beginning of 2001, he worked at Ankara Training and Research Hospital for about a year.
In October 2001, he was appointed as Assistant Professor at Mersin University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Cardiology. He became Associate Professor in 2006 and Professor in 2012.
He participated in many courses and trainings in Turkey and abroad in this process. He contributed to the organization of various courses and panels and took part in the evaluation committees of many journals.
He focused his work on rhythm disturbances. He helped start the use of some applications such as Electrophysiology and Renal Denervation in Mersin.
Professor Dr. Çamsarı has over 100 scientific studies, approximately 50 of which are published abroad.
He is a member of Turkish Cardiology Association and European Cardiovascular Society. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Çamsarı speaks fluent English and intermediate German.
Prof. Dr. Ahmet Çamsarı has been the Rector of Mersin University since November 28, 2014. He is married and has two children.
