"Mersin University Advanced Technology, Training,  Research and Application Center" (MEİTAM) is established under  an approved  project of the Government Planning Organization (DPT), as part of the infrastructure projects  in 2009.

The center is modular in design with the current area of 1600 m² and was designed to be a total of 4600 m².

MEİTAM has a scientific and technological research laboratory that contains advanced technological devices, where both local-sized and multidisciplinary R&D activities can be conducted at basic, advanced levels or practical.

MEITAM serves for R&D studies of not only the researchers in Mersin University, but also the researchers of the other universities in this region and of the other public institutions and private sector.
