Cilicia Archaeology Research Center conducts activities to research and promote the place and archaeology of Cilicia Region in the history of civilization.

In this context, it aims to conduct research in the region (Survey and Archaeological Excavation), make scientific publications, cooperate with centers, universities and institutes established for similar purposes, organize scientific meetings, organize seminars and conferences introducing the archaeology of the region, and publish periodicals.

The Research Center also publishes a periodical scientific journal called OLBA. Mersin University Cilicia Archaeology Research Center (KAAM) scientific periodical OLBA includes archaeological studies containing original results on Anatolia, the Mediterranean world and related regions; It aims to present valuable studies to the scientific world by embracing 'Ancient Sciences' as a whole without separating them from each other. OLBA is indexed by Arts and Humanities Citiation Index (AHCI), Ebsco, Proquest and Tubitak Ulakbim.
