B. EDUCATION AND TRAINING - EVIDENCE EXPLANATION REPORT

Student Support Services – Individual Counseling Statistics

Individual counseling services at our center are designed to support students' psychological resilience, enhance their academic and personal adjustment, and help them cope with emotional, social, or academic challenges. These services are provided by expert psychological counselors in accordance with confidentiality and ethical principles, and regular recording, assessment, evaluation, and improvement efforts are conducted throughout the process.

Data regarding individual counseling, group counseling, interview, and orientation services provided at the Guidance and Research Center in 2024 is as follows:

A total of 559 individual counseling sessions were conducted throughout the year with 130 students who applied to the center for individual counseling. Additionally, six sessions of group counseling were conducted with six students. 550 students participated in 11 talks held throughout the year. Additionally, an information session was held for first-year university students as part of the orientation program.

Data regarding the services provided by the center between January and October 2025 is as follows:

During this period, a total of 330 individual counseling sessions were held with 65 students benefiting from individual psychological counseling. Additionally, 14 students received four sessions of group counseling. One student received four sessions of online counseling.

The orientation program for first-year university students included 13 sessions. Additionally, 14 case studies were held with the participation of various experts. As part of the talk and seminar activities, 450 participants were reached in the first ten months of the year, and a total of nine sessions were held.

The data presented in the tables demonstrate that our center regularly and systematically provides student support services such as individual psychological counseling, group counseling, online counseling, orientation programs, and seminar activities. The change in application and session numbers over the years is due to natural variables such as the seasonal variation in student needs, changes in online and face-to-face processes, and the intensity of the academic calendar.

The Center has been expanding its service offerings over the years and continues to respond to students' psychological support needs in a rapid, ethical, and accessible manner. This data clearly demonstrates the Center's contribution to student well-being and the continuity of the services provided.

The Guidance and Counseling Application and Research Center conducted numerous training programs, seminars, psychoeducation, group work, and promotional events for university students, educational institutions, and the public in 2024 and 2025. These events were organized to strengthen student support services, increase visibility of the Center's services, conduct needs assessments, and raise awareness on themes such as psychological resilience, communication, motivation, and test anxiety.

The content of the events, participant profiles, and photographs of the application videos are published on our university's official website and are accessible through the relevant link.

TÜBİTAK PROJECTS

Our center provides expert support in the training, workshops, seminars, psychoeducation, and practical activities carried out within the scope of the projects.

These contributions made by our center's faculty members to TÜBİTAK projects strengthen our university's research ecosystem, ensure the sustainability of social contribution efforts, and support the scientific awareness, psychological well-being, and learning motivation of different age groups.

COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTION TRAINING

In line with our university's social contribution mission, the Guidance and Counseling Application and Research Center conducts various psychoeducation programs, seminars, and awareness-raising activities for students and parents in middle and high schools across the province and district, particularly for disadvantaged groups.

Center experts develop content based on needs assessments of requesting schools and conduct targeted, interactive, and scientifically based educational sessions for student and parent groups. These activities aim to support students' psychological resilience, promote healthy development, and strengthen parents' supportive attitudes toward their children.

These trainings strengthen university-school collaboration and provide psychological support to educational institutions in the region.
