The Computer Engineering Department, located in the E Block of the     Mersin University Faculty of Engineering, was established in 1994, accepted its first students in     the 1996-1997 academic year, and graduated its first alumni in 1999-2000. Until 2006-2007,     it admitted 30 students annually through the ÖSS (Student Selection Exam). Our department,     which did not accept undergraduate students between 2007 and 2015 by a decision of the CoHE     (Council of Higher Education), resumed admissions in the 2015-2016 academic year, and since     the 2016-2017 academic year, a 30% English education model has been applied. Since its     establishment, our department has aimed to train qualified engineers, follow current technologies,     prioritize research and development activities, and provide individuals with the necessary     equipment to compete at national and international levels.
