About MUDEK

The Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs (MUDEK) is an independent organization dedicated to contributing to the quality of engineering education by conducting accreditation, evaluation, and informational studies for engineering programs across various disciplines.

MÜDEK was established in 2002 as an independent platform under the name Engineering Evaluation Board by the Engineering Deans Council (MDK), comprised of deans from engineering faculties in Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), to develop and implement a comprehensive program for the evaluation of engineering undergraduate programs at these faculties. It began evaluating engineering programs in 2003 and was incorporated in 2007.

With the exception of MÜDEK administrative staff, all individuals serving on MÜDEK boards, committees, working groups, and accreditation evaluation teams volunteer without receiving any compensation.

MÜDEK has been a member of the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE) since November 17, 2006, and a signatory (member) of the Washington Accord (WA) since June 15, 2011.
