Hello dear students,

Since the day it was founded, our faculty's young, dynamic, competent, artist-teaching staff have been organizing art events at national and international levels, participating in such events, and receiving awards in competitions. Our education-training program is based on the principle of educating students who have adopted the understanding of contemporary art, who can produce original works, and who have high creative power, in addition to basic classical art education.

Many of our students have participated in national and international art organizations such as biennials and triennials, and received awards in competitions. At the same time, our students who benefit from international student exchange programs have studied at universities in the European Union countries with which we have agreements. For these reasons, we have become a preferred and successful educational institution in a short time.

With the art and culture events organized by our faculty, our university, as well as the city of Mersin and Turkey, are promoted in the best way possible on the international platform. All these achievements have given new responsibilities to our faculty and students. With this awareness; it has become a must for us to work with faith and devotion in order to achieve the better, the more beautiful, and to set new goals in the name of art.

Our goal is; To raise individuals who are loyal to Atatürk's Principles and Revolutions, have universal values, are creative, independent and positive thinkers, are participating, sharing, researchers, respectful to nature and humanity, and preferred at national and international levels, and to contribute to our country's technological, economic and socio-cultural level of contemporary civilization with the education and training it will provide and scientific and cultural research it will conduct in the light of science and art.

We cannot think of art and life separately, when we look from the past to the present, they have always been intertwined. When we look at the world today, we witness this reality once again. With the contribution of developing technology, there is also a change in artistic production and exhibition activities. The opportunities that new media brings to artistic works also brings us to use our artistic activities in a way that will contribute to the innovative understanding of art. In this context, the artistic works of students and academic staff are also brought together with art lovers through virtual exhibitions.

In this process, the experienced teaching staff of our Faculty is ready to provide an efficient education and training period for you, our valuable students, through various platforms of education. In this context, I welcome our new students who joined the Painting, Graphics, Sculpture, Ceramics and Textile departments of our faculty in the 2024-2025 Mersin University Fine Arts Faculty Special Talent Exam and wish everyone in our faculty a blessed and lucky new term.
