ABOUT

The Mersin University Midwifery Department is an educational program that aims to train qualified and competent midwifery professionals in the field of healthcare. Our instructors, each highly qualified and closely following developments in healthcare, aim to train their students to be successful, ethical, empathetic, and responsible midwives both nationally and internationally.

Our department aims to provide in-depth knowledge and skills in a wide range of areas, including women's health, obstetrics, newborn care, family planning, and gynecological diseases. In line with these goals, we are committed to providing our students with an educational approach that fosters social and professional values such as human rights, ethics, communication skills, and leadership.

Our department utilizes both theoretical and practical training using modern educational techniques. Training is not limited to the physical space of our department. Furthermore, through protocols and collaborations with hospitals and family health centers, our students who participate in practical training have the opportunity to put theoretical knowledge into practice.
