Graduates of the program can work in various professional fields that require linguistic expertise. They can be employed in a wide range of fields, ranging from the treatment of speech disorders to the applications of forensic linguistics. They can take charge and give consultancy services in developing, applying, and organizing native-foreign language teaching materials and curricula, in educating native-foreign language teachers, and in writing and editing dictionaries and textbooks. They can take part in the development and implementation of natural language processing software. They can work in fields where they can use their linguistics knowledge, such as translation, editing, advertising, and journalism. Those who hold a Language Teaching Certificate are appointed as English teachers by the Ministry of National Education, provided they achieve the predetermined score in the Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS). In addition, Linguistics graduates can work as English lecturers if they are successful in the relevant staff entrance exam of universities after completing their master's degree.
