Department of Devalopmental Psychology
Developmental Psychology is a subfield that scientifically examines changes in an individual's cognitive, emotional, and social processes from birth to old age. Mersin University's Department of Psychology aims to equip students with theoretical knowledge and research skills to understand lifelong developmental processes. Courses taught by expert faculty members support students in evaluating developmental processes from a multidimensional perspective.
Vision and Goal
Our department aims to strengthen scientific research capacity in developmental psychology and pave the way for interdisciplinary studies examining child, adolescent, and adult development. In the coming period, we aim to develop research in this field in a structure that combines theoretical knowledge with practice and to expand laboratory facilities. To this end, our fundamental vision is to create a research environment that will contribute to students' understanding of developmental processes in both scientific and societal contexts.
