Research conducted in the Department of Chemistry covers a wide spectrum ranging from fundamental sciences to applied fields. Our academic staff actively carry out high-quality research in contemporary areas such as electrochemistry, nanotechnology, materials science, biochemistry, green chemistry, and catalysis.

Researchers in our department successfully conduct and complete numerous national and international projects, primarily supported by TÜBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye) and other funding programs. The outcomes of these studies are disseminated to the scientific community through articles published in international indexed journals, book chapters, and conference presentations.

Graduate research is also an integral part of our department’s academic activities. Master’s and Ph.D. students actively contribute to current research topics, benefiting from modern laboratory infrastructure and collaborations with national and international partners. To promote student participation in scientific research, numerous projects have been supported under the TÜBİTAK 2209-A Program for Undergraduate Research Projects.
