The Jewelry Technology and Design School was established in 2002 with Goldsmithing, Design and Gemmology departments in its academic foundation and soon combined these three departments in to the crucible of Jewelry Technology and Design Department on 31st of March 2008 and started admitting students in 2008-2009 academic year.

“How a jewelry piece becomes an art object and what criteria and conditions turn jeweler’s workbench to an art studio” is the main concern of the school we have to answer within an academic sense. The school’s perennial aim is to develop an environment that the future’s studio jewelers will be able to grow their artistic capabilities together with the traditional background they borrowed.

Graduates are able to work as freelance designers. Students completing further academic studies in their field or related disciplines of Art and Design World can take a part in academic environment as teachers, instructors, professors. Graduates can take optimal roles in different levels of manufacturing in Jewelry Industry. Graduates have the opportunity to build a contemporary small-scale workshop as a Studio Jeweler and to take role in such facilities as designer, goldsmith, mould-maker, pattern-maker, etc.
