DEPARTMENT OF TURKISH LANGUAGE

Our department took part in the establishment of our university  with the decision of the Law of Higher Education with Law No. 2547 and dated 4th November 1981 in order to teach the Turkish Language, which is compulsory for at least two semesters in our faculties and schools.

MISSION-GOAL-PURPOSE

Within the framework of Quality Management System, Mersin University Department of Turkish Language; has adopted to be effective, efficient and competitive in the fields of education, scientific and social service.

With the education given at the associate degree and undergraduate degree; aims to educate students who have knowledge of Turkish language, beneficial to science, the state and society, constantly renewing themselves in the environment where technology is developing rapidly, ethically responsible, creative, inquisitive, cooperative and environmentally-conscious.

With the basic and applied researches it conducts; it aims to be a department that produces solutions to the problems related to the Turkish language, contributes to the development and spread of science and technology and to increase the quality of life in our country by continuing research activities at national and international level and aims to protect the Turkish language and transfer it correctly to future generations.

VISION

The vision of Mersin University Department of Turkish Language; to raise individuals equipped in a contemporary sense, open-minded, open to innovations, and innovator in their field.
