Purpose and Areas of Activity of TURAM – Tourism Practice and Research Center

Purpose of TURAM

The purpose of TURAM is to identify challenges faced by the tourism sector, develop solution-oriented proposals, conduct scientific research and studies at regional, national and international levels, and design and implement projects that contribute to the development and enhancement of the tourism industry.

Areas of Activity

TURAM’s areas of activity are listed below:

a) To conduct research and studies, and to execute projects on tourism-related issues at regional, national and international levels,

b) To encourage research, studies and projects related to tourism at regional, national and international levels,

c) To establish cooperation with public and/or private institutions and organizations for tourism-related purposes at regional, national and international levels,

ç) To collaborate with centers, universities and institutes established with similar objectives at regional, national and international levels; to organize scientific meetings; and to develop and carry out joint projects,

d) To publish the results of the research and studies conducted,

e) To produce publications related to the field, support publication activities, and issue periodicals,

f) To develop and organize short-, medium- and long-term educational programs tailored to the needs of the tourism sector,

g) To support graduate and doctoral students working on topics aligned with TURAM’s mission by providing access to the Center’s knowledge base, resources and expert capacity,

ğ) To offer consultancy services for initiating and conducting research projects aligned with TURAM’s objectives,

h) To carry out other activities consistent with TURAM’s mission.
