Mersin University Tourism Practice and Research Center (TURAM) is a key research, practice and societal outreach unit positioned at the intersection of the University’s academic vision and the tourism potential of the city of Mersin.

TURAM aims to become a leading tourism practice and research center in Türkiye and the Mediterranean region, recognized nationally and internationally for its work in sustainable tourism, cultural heritage, and innovative education.

MISSION

TURAM’s core mission is to contribute scientifically to the development of regional tourism, to bridge the gap between the tourism industry and academia, to play an active role in shaping tourism policies, and to support the development of a qualified human resource for the tourism sector.
