In recent years, physicians in our country and in the world have been paying more attention to laboratory studies which have contributed to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. It is a well-known fact that the trained staff is growing in line with the ever-increasing technical developments.

    This program educates laboratory technicians to be able to use contemporary technology in all parts of medical laboratories (biochemistry, hematology, microbiology, blood bank, endocrinology etc).  Additionally, if students encounter a situation in which technology is not readily available, this program ensures that students are well-equipped with the basic laboratory techniques in order to make an analysis, in the absence of current technologies, with the available methods at their hands.

    The internship and applications of the Medical Laboratory Techniques Programs are carried out at Mersin University Health Research and Application Center and Health Services Vocational School.
