This program is one of the technician programs of Mersin University, Vocational School of Health Services. The educational beginning of the school was in 2003.

        This is a two-year vocational training program established for the purpose of providing vocational education to meet the practical needs of health services and training qualified personnel. The aim of this program is educating a student as an operating room technician. After this education a student can prepare all the surgical materials that are used in an operating room, and also can take a part in all surgery team as an assistant surgery member. The main principal of this education is providing the student as an assistant surgery member who can recognize all the surgical materials, prepare them for an operation and use all of them accompanying with a surgeon.
