Garden Cultivation

Horticultural Program was founded in 1993-1994
academic period and it started to teaching at the same year. Program takes
students with OSYM exam. The quota is 30 students. Horticultural
Program is a training program for horticultural technician who is capable of
using knowledge in practical applications, producing according to request of
food industry, useful to society, creative, productive and devoted to ethical
values. It is necessary to complete all the courses available in the program
(total 120 ECTS) successfully,
obtain 2.00 GPA on a 4.00 scale and complete an internship of 40 working
days. The students who successfully
completed the program take an associate’s degree as agricultural technicians.
Graduate students can
work in companies which process fruit and vegetables, canned food, fruit juice,
jam and pickles producing enterprises, pesticide and seed distributors the
chamber of agriculture and also related public institutions. Graduates may
apply to undergraduate programs by obtaining enough score in vertical pass exam
(DGS)
