Hope and Solidarity Field in Memory of the Champion Angels (January 17, 2025 – May 30, 2025)

The latest of the social responsibility projects implemented by our Faculty of Education as part of its "Extracurricular Activities in Education" course was implemented in the Çelikhan district of Adıyaman.

The project, spearheaded by Faculty of Education faculty members Prof. Dr. Yusuf İnandı, Dr. Fatma Canan Durgungöz, and Dr. Ramazan Karatepe, marked a meaningful step in memory of the "Champion Angels" team that lost their lives in the February 6th earthquakes in Adıyaman.

A modern volleyball court was built in the garden of Şehit Mesut Çelik Middle School in Çelikhan, while a Mind and Intelligence Games classroom was established at Şehit Er Erdal Şireci Primary School to support children's cognitive development.

The projects were officially launched on May 30, 2025. The ceremony was attended by Çelikhan District Governor Ali Cemal Altınöz, District Director of National Education Halil İbrahim Kılıç, TSM President Dr. Rukiye Şahin, our faculty and students, school administrators, local residents, and the families of the students who lost their lives in the February 6th earthquakes attended the opening ceremony.

As part of the opening ceremony, a representative volleyball match was held between the Şehit Mesut Çelik Middle School Girls' Volleyball Team, the Adıyaman provincial champion every year, and our university students.

These projects are not merely physical structures; they are meaningful spaces that transform pain into hope, loss into solidarity, and create lasting memories. Our students and faculty completed this project with great dedication to keep the cherished memory of the Champion Angels alive.
