On October 27, 2026, a comprehensive information session was held for students of the Faculty of Fisheries, aimed at introducing them to the culture of academic research and encouraging their participation in scientific projects. The event, open to all students in the faculty, was designed to help them take their first steps into the research ecosystem.

The session was conducted by faculty members Prof. Dr. Yusuf Bozkurt and Assoc. Prof. Dr. İsmail Akçay, who provided a detailed overview of the "TÜBİTAK 2209-A Research Projects Support Program for University Students." Our esteemed professors offered invaluable guidance on application requirements, developing project ideas, drafting research proposals, planning budgets, and navigating the application system.

Future Scientists to Shine Through Their Projects

The session, which drew significant interest from students, concluded with a Q&A segment. During this interactive portion, key strategies and critical points for the project-writing process were discussed, allowing students to find direct answers to their questions.

Through this meaningful initiative, the faculty aims to foster a greater focus on R&D and innovation, while maximizing both the quantity and quality of student project proposals submitted to TÜBİTAK in the coming terms. We extend our gratitude to our esteemed professors for conducting the session and to all the students who participated.
