Applications for Our University’s Lunch Scholarship Have Begun

Dear Students,

In accordance with the decision taken by our University Administrative Board during its meeting dated October 22, 2026 (Meeting No. 26), a "Lunch Scholarship" will be provided to our university students for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Details regarding the application process and requirements are provided below:

·         Quota: 3 spots have been allocated to our Faculty. (Both primary and reserve candidates will be determined within this quota.)

·         Evaluation: Applications will be reviewed and decided upon by the "Faculty of Maritime Studies Evaluation Commission," established in accordance with clauses (a) and (c) of the first paragraph of Article 8 of the Mersin University Directive on the Provision of Free Lunch Scholarships.

·         Application Deadline: Completed application forms and all required documents must be submitted to our Faculty’s Student Affairs Office no later than the end of the workday on Tuesday, November 10, 2026.

⚠️ Important Note: Applications with missing documents will not be considered. To avoid any issues, students are strongly advised to ensure that all required documents are prepared in full and submitted by the specified deadline. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

·         Fully and accurately completed application form (available from our Faculty’s Student Affairs Office)

·         Photocopy of national ID card

·         Photocopy of student ID card

·         Document indicating academic standing for the most recent term (transcript)

·         Medical Board Report on Disability

·         Certificate of Martyrdom and/or Veteran Status

·         Documentation for national-level athletes

·         Document showing family income (income statement/salary payslip)

·         Student’s rental agreement or documentation confirming residence in a dormitory
