The Department of Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering at Mersin University Faculty of Maritime Studies is organizing a conference entitled “From Academia to the Field: Industry Expectations and Realities”, featuring Capt. Ferit Gökdeniz, Fleet Personnel Manager at Arkas Holding.

The conference will address current needs of the maritime industry, industry expectations regarding qualified human resources, the relationship between academic education and professional practice, and career opportunities in the maritime sector.

Aiming to bring our students together with industry professionals and contribute to their professional development, the conference is open to all academic and administrative staff, as well as students.
