“Stories Written by the Sea” Meets Students at the Marine Life Museum

The “Stories Written by the Sea” event, organized as part of the Silifke Literary Characters Creative Reading Workshop, took place on October 27, 2026, at the Marine Life Museum—a facility operating under the Mersin University Marine Sciences Application and Research Center (DEBİM).

Coordinated by the Center’s Director, Prof. Dr. Deniz Ayas, this interactive museum gathering offered students the opportunity to explore marine creatures and stories about marine life within the museum setting.

The event was designed to foster students' curiosity about the marine ecosystem and to raise awareness regarding the conservation of marine life.

Held under the umbrella of the Silifke Literary Characters Creative Reading Workshop, the gathering provided a learning environment that brought together literature and the museum experience.
