The Tourism and Hotel Management Program at our Vocational School of Social Sciences organized a training session aimed at enhancing students' safety consciousness and social awareness, as part of the "Safe Campus, Safe Future" project.

The training was conducted by Police Officer Recai İpteş—from the Information and Prevention Activities (BÖF) Bureau of the Mersin Provincial Security Directorate’s Counter-Terrorism Branch—under the coordination of Lecturer Dr. Murat Özdamar, Head of the Department of Hotel, Restaurant, and Catering Services.

During the session, students received information on topics such as interpersonal relationships, the conscious and safe use of social media, and crime prevention. The event, which helped students identify potential risks in digital environments, develop safe behavioral patterns, and gain awareness of possible threats, also served to strengthen the collaboration between the university and law enforcement.

At the conclusion of the training, Associate Professor Dr. Cevat Ercik, Director of the Vocational School of Social Sciences, presented a certificate of appreciation to Police Officer Recai İpteş for his contributions.
