A Workshop on Preparation for Professional Life Was Held at Mersin University Vocational School of Health Services

On October 22, 2026, a "Preparation for Professional Life" workshop was organized by the Medical Laboratory Techniques Program at the Mersin University Vocational School of Health Services, in collaboration with İŞKUR (Turkish Employment Agency) and the Mersin University Career Center, to support students' career development and help them prepare for the professional world.

The event, designed to foster students' professional growth and equip them with the knowledge and skills needed for their transition into the workforce, was held in two sessions. The first session, which began at 09:00, was led by Eren Aslan, while the second session, held at 13:00, was conducted by Mehmet Öncü.

The workshop aimed to contribute to the students' career planning processes and raise their awareness regarding preparation for professional life. It provided a significant opportunity for students to enhance not only their professional knowledge and skills but also their career management competencies.

Prof. Dr. İlhan Ege, Vice-Rector of Mersin University and Director of the Career Center, and Prof. Dr. Gülay Altun Uğraş, Director of the Vocational School of Health Services, attended the event and presented certificates of appreciation to the speakers.

By integrating students' academic education with their career development, the event once again highlighted the importance of university-industry collaboration and career-focused initiatives.
