Digital Addiction Awareness Training Held at Mersin University Faculty of Communication

    A “Digital Addiction Awareness Training” was held at Mersin University Faculty of Communication to raise awareness about the conscious use of digital technologies and digital addiction.

       The training took place on 26 October 2026 in Classroom 1 on the first floor of the Faculty of Communication. It was delivered by Lecturer Deniz Yaramış, a member of Mersin University’s Commission for Combating Addiction. During the training, participants discussed ways to raise awareness of digital addiction and the importance of conscious technology use.

       The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Aslıhan Ardıç Çobaner, Dean of Mersin University Faculty of Communication; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duygu Özsoy Taylan, Vice Dean and Head of the Department of Public Relations and Advertising; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Canan Tasouji, Deputy Head of the Department of Journalism; and Assist. Prof. Dr. Semra Akınca Saçaralp, a faculty member in the Department of Public Relations and Advertising.

      The event addressed the impact of digital technologies on daily life and contributed to raising awareness of digital addiction. At the end of the program, a plaque was presented to Lecturer Deniz Yaramış in recognition of her contribution to the training.
