Students and faculty members from the Department of Electrical and Energy Engineering met in the green field.

Students from the first and second years of the Electrical Program at Mersin University's Vocational School of Technical Sciences, along with faculty members, came together for a futsal event. Organized to relieve stress after a busy academic term and to strengthen camaraderie, the match was filled with colorful and fun moments.

The event, featuring first-year students joining the Electrical Program this year, senior second-year students, and valuable faculty members, was a highly competitive affair. Aimed at facilitating students' adaptation to university life and vocational school culture, and strengthening their relationships with academic staff outside the classroom, the event was a true celebration.

The friendly attitudes, high energy, and sportsmanship displayed throughout the match elevated the spirit of solidarity, belonging, and unity within the department. Students, who experienced the excitement of competing shoulder-to-shoulder with their professors on the green field and maintaining sincere communication off the field, expressed their satisfaction with the event.

Faculty members who participated in the event emphasized that education should not be limited to classrooms and laboratories, stating that such social and sporting activities significantly increase students' motivation, teamwork skills, and sense of belonging to the school.

At the end of the match, the gentlemanly conduct displayed by both teams was applauded, and the event concluded with a group commemorative photograph taken to mark this meaningful day. The department administration stated that such social events, which strengthen communication, friendship, and motivation between students and academic and administrative staff, will continue without interruption in the future.
