Students from the 4th Grade of Muhittin Develi Primary School Were Guests at Our Museum

Our museum was introduced to students

On October 22, 2026, students from the 4/B class of Muhittin Develi Primary School, accompanied by their teacher Şengül BAŞBİLEN, and two parents, visited the Marine Life Museum. 

The guests were welcomed by Prof. Dr. Deniz AYAS, Director of the Marine Sciences Application and Research Center (DEBİM) at Mersin University, and the museum team. An informative presentation was given in the museum garden. Following this, information about the aquatic ecosystem was provided around the earthen pool in the museum. 

A Fin Whale, currently undergoing restoration and maintenance, was shown to the students, and information was provided about the reproduction, growth, and journeys of Fin Whales through oceans and deep seas.

Materials related to marine life living in the Eastern Mediterranean, exhibited in the museum, were shown, and general information about ecosystems, aquatic life, and biodiversity was provided.After a question and answer session, all the guests, including the students, were seen off by the museum team.
