The Transportation Services Department organized an Alumni Talk and Alumni Reunion Event.

Our Technical Sciences Vocational School's Transportation Services Department organized an alumni gathering and discussion on May 11, 2026, as part of its alumni event. This event, the first of its kind in the Transportation Services Department, had a small number of attendees. Lecturers Saniye Sakalli and Şakir Yılmaz, along with current students, participated as guests. As part of the event, a discussion was held with the participation of İmam Çalış, a Civil Engineer working at the Mersin 5th Regional Directorate of Highways and a former graduate of the department, moderated by the Head of Transportation Services, Assoc. Prof. Dr. T. Fikret Kurnaz. İmam Çalış shared valuable information with the students about his memories from his student years in the department, as well as his career journey, including his engineering education and his appointment to the General Directorate of Highways. Giving important advice to students on what they should do to be able to work, especially within the General Directorate of Highways, after graduation, İmam ÇALIŞ also answered the students' questions on topics they were curious about.

At the end of the event, İmam ÇALIŞ was presented with a certificate of appreciation by the Head of Department, Assoc. Dr. T. Fikret KURNAZ, for the useful information and valuable advice he shared with our students, and mutual discussions were held with the participating graduates regarding future alumni events.
