PATENT SUCCESS FOR OUR FACULTY MEMBER ASST. PROF. SELDA DOĞAN ÇALHAN
The invention titled "New Hydrophilic and Hydrophobic Fluorescent Carbon Nanoparticles Obtained in Different Deep Eutectic Solvent Environments," led by Asst. Prof. Selda DOĞAN ÇALHAN, a faculty member in our Department of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and Deputy Director of MÜKAM, has been granted a patent by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.
This significant achievement was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Dr. Selda DOĞAN ÇALHAN, Prof. Nazlı DİNÇER KAYA, Head of our Department of Analytical Chemistry, and Assoc. Prof. Rükan GENÇ ALTÜRK, a faculty member of the Department of Chemical Engineering at our University’s Faculty of Engineering, along with their team.
The patented invention has various applications across multiple industries, including catalysis, dye, and textiles. The invention's potential uses include catalyzing the chemical industry, as a fluorescent agent in the dye industry, and as an imaging agent in medical applications.
