The Mersin University Faculty of Nursing Unit Quality Improvement Commission held a "Career Day Event" at the Prof. Dr. Ahmet ÇAMSARI conference hall on May 8, 2025. A training program titled "Diabetes Nursing and Intensive Care Nursing" was held for senior nursing students. The event was organized by Unit Quality Improvement Commission members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diğdem Lafcı Bakar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Birgül Vural Doğru, and Res. Asst. Hatice Şen. Faculty of Nursing Dean Prof. Dr. Duygu Vefikuluçay Yılmaz, Vice Deans Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sümbüle Köksoy Vayısoğlu, and Assistant Professor Tuba Güner Emül also attended the program.

During the training, Mersin University Hospital Diabetes Education Nurse Eylem Türk shared information about the importance of diabetes nursing, patient education, and care processes. Hakan Dokumuş, an Intensive Care Nurse Specialist at Gaziantep 25 December State Hospital, discussed nursing practices, patient safety, and the role of teamwork in intensive care. This training, aimed at supporting students' professional development, provided participants with the opportunity to gain up-to-date information on clinical practice and share their experiences.
