During the Spring Semester of the 2024-2025 Academic Year, our Faculty of Nursing students participated in informational training on the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) held on February 25, 28, and March 6, 2025, as part of the Fundamentals of Nursing, Surgical Nursing, and Pediatric Nursing courses. These trainings, attended by first-, second-, and third-year students, comprehensively addressed the definition of personal data, processing conditions, data security measures, and legal responsibilities in the healthcare field. Particular attention was paid to the issues that should be considered in the event of personal data breaches that may occur during nursing practice.

The training aimed to develop students as individuals who are aware of the privacy and security of personal data in their professional lives, sensitive to ethical values, and aware of their legal responsibilities.
