Sustainable Environmental Education Program Held At Our Faculty

As part of the collaboration protocol between our faculty and ÖRAV (Teacher Academy Foundation), educational activities aimed at contributing to the professional development of our students are ongoing. As part of this program, a training session was held for prospective teachers studying at our faculty as part of the "Sustainable Environmental Education" program.

Organized by ÖRAV instructor Mihrunisa Duran on December 1st and 2nd, the program addressed topics such as "Humans as a Part of Nature," "Our Place in Nature and Our Responsibilities," "Our Consumption Habits and Their Impact on the World," and "Design Thinking as a Solution Method."

The program aims to cultivate individuals who are sensitive to environmental problems, possess a nature-integrated perspective, and are capable of producing the most functional, economical, and sustainable solutions under current conditions. Furthermore, it aims to strengthen prospective teachers' belief in making a difference for a sustainable future through students and parents in the schools where they will work in the future. It is aimed to contribute to the transition from "individual" consciousness to "we" consciousness by approaching people and objects with respect and empathy.
