The Scientific Journals Coordination Office held an informational meeting for editors and assistant editors regarding scientific journals, including the Mediterranean Journal of Engineering and Scientific Research (MJESR), published by Mersin University's Institute of Science.

At the meeting, comprehensive information was provided on:

• DergiPark processes,
• TR Index criteria,
• Editorial evaluation and refereeing stages,
• Publication ethics principles,
• Index application processes
• to ensure that journals published by our university comply with national and international standards.

The meeting, which was hosted by Scientific Journals Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Osman Orhan, specifically addressed the necessary steps to strengthen the institutional structure of MJESR, improve its publication quality, and enhance its international visibility.

At the end of the meeting, questions from editors and assistant editors were answered, and a roadmap was shared to ensure the journals maintain a more qualified and sustainable publishing process.
