Dear Students,
In accordance with Article 44(c) of Law No. 2547 and Article 37 of the Mersin University Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education, Teaching and Examination Regulations, and the Mersin University Implementation Principles Regarding Procedures to be Followed at the End of Maximum Study Periods, adopted by the University Senate on September 13, 2023, with decision number 2023/105, our Vocational School students who have completed their maximum study period at the end of the Fall Semester of the 2025-2026 Academic Year are granted 2 additional examination rights.
*Within the framework of the YÖK (Council of Higher Education) education and teaching regulations:
- Associate degree students are dismissed if they do not complete their studies within 8 semesters (4 years).
- At the end of four years (maximum period), students are given two additional examination rights for each course they fail. If the number of failed courses does not fall below 5 after these two additional examinations, the student's enrollment is terminated.
*According to the decision taken by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) on July 5, 2023, students whose maximum study period is about to expire can take exams for courses they have never taken or failed due to absenteeism.
