Our Coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Ümit İzgi Onbaşılı, held an important meeting with officials from the Ministry of National Education’s General Directorate of Innovation and Educational Technologies (YEĞİTEK).

During the meeting, discussions were held with Sümeyye Hatice Eral, Head of the Digital Skills Department at YEĞİTEK, focusing on the development of digital skills in teacher training processes and potential university collaborations.

Additionally, meetings were conducted with eTwinning Türkiye National Support Service officials, including Provincial Coordinators Supervisor Tarık Kaya, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Ezgi Ulutan, and Content and Training Officer Ercüment Erdemli. Current projects carried out in cooperation with Mersin University were reviewed, and potential future joint initiatives and collaboration opportunities were comprehensively evaluated.

It was stated that the meetings were productive in terms of strengthening Mersin University’s national and international project capacity, contributing to digital transformation processes in teacher education, and laying the groundwork for new collaborations in European-focused educational projects.
