An awareness training session on "Combating Narcotic Crimes" was organized for students of Silifke Vocational School, which operates under Mersin University.

The training program, held on May 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM, was given by Narcotic Crime Fighting teams from the Police Department. The training covered the negative effects of drug use on individuals and society, methods of combating addiction, and important information on protecting young people from such harmful habits.

During the program, students were informed about the importance of raising awareness in the fight against narcotic crimes and the procedures to follow when encountering suspicious situations. Officials emphasized that raising awareness, especially among young people, is a crucial step in combating crime.

At the end of the training, students asked questions to the team officials about topics they were curious about, and it was stated that the program was productive in terms of raising awareness.
